dental implants & dentures

Dental implants are one of Dr. Frerich’s favorite areas of expertise and have rapidly grown as a preferred way to replace missing teeth due to injury, disease or decay. For all the things you need your teeth to do, like eating and speaking, dental implants are the closest thing you can get to your natural teeth and, in some cases, may even be an improvement!

how do implants work?

Unlike conventional dentures and bridges, dental implants are permanent and even have all the parts you think of with your own teeth. A titanium post is placed into the area of your missing tooth to act as a root. As the bone grows around the tooth it secures to the jaw. Then a small connector post is secured to the post and used to attach the new tooth, which is called a crown.

how long does it take & do they look like natural teeth?

Dental implants replace your natural teeth which requires surgery and healing time. Once the impression or scan is made of your bite, the affected teeth are removed and posts are implanted; the healing process can range 6 to 12 weeks. The crowns of your new implants are made from a model of your bite that Dr. Frerich creates by making a scan or impression of your teeth. So, your implant will fit perfectly – enhancing your natural smile.

dentures

Dentures are removable oral appliances that replace missing teeth in your upper jaw, lower jaw or both. There are many types of dentures, including full, partial, conventional and implant-supported dentures. We will custom craft your denture to your unique and specific desires using various materials like acrylic, resin, nylon, metal or porcelain.

Dentures offer a number of benefits including the ability to chew, enhanced appearance, improved speech and function, and better nutrition due to improved chewing function.

Proper care and maintenance helps keep your dentures in good condition. A few guidelines to ensure your denture lasts as long as possible include: remove your dentures at the end of every day, clean your dentures using a proper brush and cleaning solution, soak your dentures overnight, brush your gums, tongue, inner cheeks, roof of your mouth and any remaining teeth twice a day to remove plaque and debris. Call for an appointment if your denture begins to feel loose or pinch. With proper care and maintenance, the average lifespan of a denture is 7 to 10 years.

A quote.
Was new to Florida and looking for dentist, made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. I wouldn’t be saying anything if I had had a touch of pain, None whatsoever. My new place and everyone should try them you won’t go back to anyone else.
